Customized Version of UltraVNC
To be able to remotely control and diagnose problems on your computer, Eton Systems uses a customized version of UltraVNC.
To download the software, right click on the following link and save it on your desktop.
If your anti-virus software will not let you download the file above, use this link instead:
Once you have the file downloaded, unzip it (if necessary). The final file name is ES_UVNC_20090901.exe.
Double click on the icon on your computer desktop to launch it and then follow the instructions it provides.
Note that this custom version of UltraVNC will only connect to Eton Systems.
Concerned about security?
- You control when to make the connection
- You can break the connection at any time.
- There is no way that this custom version can be used by anyone other than Eton Systems to connect to your machine.
- This custom version does not install anything on your machine.

UltraVNC is software that lets one computer remotely control or observe a second computer via the internet. Although there are many commercial products and services for remote control, UltraVNC has the advantage of being non-proprietary and free to use.
Connecting two computers via UltraVNC can be problematic if there are firewalls involved. To get around this problem we use a customized version of UltraVNC. (Very strict firewalls may block this version.)
